The members of the Department of Paediatric Infectious Diseases and Paediatric Immunology took part in the managing committee meeting of the Central and Eastern European Academic Project “J-Project” which was held in March, 1st-3rd, 2017 in Budapest (Hungary).

The members of the Department of Paediatric Infectious Diseases and Paediatric Immunology took part in the managing committee meeting of the Central and Eastern European Academic Project “J-Project” which was held in March, 1st-3rd, 2017 in Budapest (Hungary).

“J-Project” is an international academic project focused on improving diagnosis and treatment of primary immunodeficiency in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The project has become very popular since its foundation (2002) and has reached the countries of Asia and Africa. At present it involves 27 member-countries.


Paediatric immunologists from Ukraine have been its active partners since 2004. The representatives of the embassies of the “J-Project” member-countries also took part in round-table conference.

During the meeting there were presented reports of all member-countries on the progress in primary immunodeficiency. Full Professor A.P. Volokha reported on major achievements in the educational component, as well as providing care for children with primary immunodeficiency in Ukraine.

The members of the managing committee discussed the prospects for future development of the project, including international cooperation in joint research, conferences, schools for young doctors.
