The active and fruitful cooperation of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 with clinical bases, where complex obstetric and gynecological cases have taken place over the past 2 months, continues.

Thus, in the Kyiv Regional Perinatal Center (KOPC) with the participation of department employees, who were called to the clinic in connection with an urgent situation, a pregnant woman was successfully delivered with full presentation and ingrowth of the placenta against the background of 2 scars on the uterus after previous caesarean sections, with the onset of bleeding and the development of hemorrhagic shock. In order to minimize blood loss, the internal iliac arteries were ligated and a hysterectomy was performed without the appendages of the uterus. The woman in labor and the newborn in a satisfactory condition were discharged for 7 days under the supervision of the doctor of the women's consultation.

On the basis of the Vyshhorod Central Hospital, a complex clinical case was conducted with a complete prolapse of the uterus and compression of the pelvic organs, with severe swelling and inflammation. In an urgent manner, with the participation of the department's employees, the prolapse was corrected, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory therapy was carried out for 2 weeks. In the future, successful surgical treatment of complete prolapse of the uterus was carried out with plastic surgery of the perineum and restoration of the normal function of the pelvic organs.

Head of the department prof. Oleg Golyanovskyi was also involved in conducting a clinical case at the base of the Boyarka Central Hospital with a diagnosis of full-term pregnancy (39 weeks), a large fibroid node in the lower segment of the uterus, which prevented vaginal delivery. A caesarean section was performed followed by a conservative myomectomy of a large fibroid node with prior ligation of the uterine vessels. The postpartum period was without complications, on the 5th day after the cesarean section, the mother was discharged in satisfactory condition together with the newborn.
