In March 2025, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine conducted an on-site thematic improvement cycle based on the maternity hospital of Irpin, Kyiv region. The topic of the training course was “Emergency care in obstetrics and gynecology with a simulation training course”.

Classes for students were held in a mixed format - remotely and with a visit to the specified medical institutions. The participants of the cycles were obstetrician-gynecologists and anesthesiologists.

The course program covered current issues of emergency care in obstetrics and gynecology. Particular attention was paid to modern approaches to the management of patients with hemorrhagic and hypertensive disorders, obstetric and extragenital pathologies during pregnancy and childbirth, as well as in case of gynecological emergencies. The information presented sparked lively discussion among the students.

During the training, the department's teachers examined in detail modern clinical protocols and standards developed based on the results of randomized trials. Special emphasis was placed on the implementation of the most effective methods of evidence-based medicine.

The participants of the cycles expressed their gratitude for the high level of teaching and the provision of relevant and practically significant information.
