On April 5, optional classes organized by the Department of Cardiology at Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine took place. The online meeting brought together doctors of various specialties, with the participation of experts in cardiology and rheumatology.

The main goal of the event was to explore modern approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of chronic diseases, exchange experiences, study the latest medical technologies, and discuss the results of the newest research and clinical trials.

Dmytro Riabenko, DM,  leading research fellow at the department of non-coronary heart diseases, rheumatology and therapy of the state institution "Strazhesko Institute of Cardiology, Clinical and Regenerative Medicine" of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, delivered a presentation titled: "Clinical case analysis of a patient with myocarditis. a comparison of the 2024 AHA guidelines and the 2014 ESC guidelines." He addressed the challenges of diagnosing and treating myocarditis, referring to current recommendations and his own extensive clinical experience.

How can we manage pain in patients with rheumatoid arthritis? Which treatment strategy works best during flare-ups, and which during remission? These questions were explored by Hanna Khokhlova, junior research fellow at the department of non-coronary heart diseases, rheumatology and therapy of the state institution "Strazhesko Institute of Cardiology, Clinical and Regenerative Medicine" of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine.

To conclude the meeting, Yurii Sirenko, DM, professor of the Department of Cardiology at Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, conducted a masterclass titled: "Effectiveness of Free Combinations of Antihypertensive Therapy in Family Medicine Practice." Special attention was given to the benefits, risks, and practical algorithms for blood pressure control in various patient groups.

A distinctive feature of the event was the active feedback from the audience, as questions were submitted after each presentation.
