From March 31 to April 04, 2025, an international conference on innovations in translational science and research in surgery and intensive care was held in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, organized by the AREVA Institute.
The conference was dedicated to the problem of improving medical care for the wounded both in Ukraine and in the USA, based on the experience of civil-military cooperation in Ukraine under the conditions of the ATO and large-scale war. The conference was attended by doctors from Sweden, Finland, Israel, the USA and Ukraine. From the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, an associate professor of the Department of Disaster Medicine and Military Medical Training, Slychko I.Yu., made a report, where he highlighted the experience of civil-military cooperation in combat conditions, taking into account his personal participation in working in mobile hospitals, in addition, Ivan Yosypovych focused on the specifics of teaching doctors of all specialties of military medical training according to NATO standards.
In the future plans of the department, research work is carried out jointly with American colleagues. The results of the research will be included in the training programs at our University.
