On April 10–11, 2025, Kyiv hosted the international congress “World Kidney Day 2025”, held in a hybrid format — onsite at the Radisson Blu Hotel and online. The event was accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME, USA).
The congress brought together leading nephrologists, urologists, and multidisciplinary experts from Ukraine and abroad. It became a key platform for sharing clinical innovations and building professional collaboration. The live broadcast further expanded its reach and interactivity.
Scientific partners included the Department of Nephrology and Renal Replacement Therapy, the Department of Urology of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, the Academician O.F. Vozianov Institute of Urology, and the Ukrainian Association of Urology. The event was supported by the Medical Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other key institutions.
The program featured sessions on acute and chronic kidney diseases, urological advances, updated EAU and KDIGO guidelines, and developments in cardio–renal–metabolic medicine. Interdisciplinary topics included nephrology’s interface with obstetrics and rheumatology.
Special sessions focused on transplantation (honoring Ruben Ovakimovich Zograbyan), AI in clinical decision-making, and pre-medical emergency care.
The congress exemplified innovation and effective interdisciplinary collaboration, offering practical tools to enhance medical care and patient safety.
