The meetings of Club of Endocrine Innovations organized by the Head of Department of Diabetology of National Medical Academy for Postgraduate Education Professor Boris Mankovsky took place in 3 major cities of our country - in Kyiv, Lviv and Odesa.
The Meetings were international as one of the leading endocrinologist from Israel Professor Eugen Moshkovits presented his own clinical experience regarding the use of the new basal insulin analogues in the successful treatment of patients with diabetes mellitus.
The meetings were fully interdisciplinary. The participants listened with the great attention the discussion regarding the current options of glucose lowering treatment as the tool to improve the prognosis of patients with diabetes which was presented by the leading cardiologists of our contry Professors Olena Koval and Oleg Zharinov and endocrinologist - Professor Boris Mankovsky.
The Head of Department of Neurology of Kharkiv National Medical University Porfessor Olena Tovaznanskaya presented very interesting clinical case of polimorbid patient - with myasthenia and diabetes mellitus. Associated Professor of Department of Diabetology Iryna Kondratska discussed the possibilities of glucose lowering medications beyond glucose control. Each meeting was attended by more than 150 physicians.
