Today, international cooperation in science and innovation is one of the most important and priority areas.

Introducing the principle of "science without borders" into the practical work of the department, at the beginning of May this year the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of Shupyk National Healthcare University took part in the international forum on anesthesiology and intensive care, which took place online in Melbourne (Australia).

At this symposium, the department presented two works, which are innovative developments dedicated to the improvement of anesthesia and perfusion support in elderly patients with concomitant cardiac pathology who underwent open heart surgery with cardiopulmonary bypass.

The works were presented by PhD students of the department Taisiya Danchyna ("The impact of low-opioid anesthesia on the rehabilitation of cardiac surgery patients", supervisor Professor Oleg Loskutov) and Stepan Maruniak ("The value and dynamics of Annexin V in blood plasma depending on the scheme of anesthesia during coronary artery bypass grafting", supervisor Professor Igor Malysh).

Judging by the reviews of these publications and positive comments, the presented topics aroused considerable interest of the conference participants.

The department plans to further expand the boundaries of scientific cooperation both with representatives of foreign countries and with European colleagues.
