In 2020 the defense procedure of PhD thesis by Mariia Ivanova took part in the University of Milano-Bicocca (the Italian Republic). To implement the Memorandum with University of Milano-Bicocca, the Head of the Deparment of Pathology and Topographic Anatomy Olena Dyadyk took part in the procedure as a co-supervisor.

The topic of PhD thesis "Advanced Proteomics MALDI-MSI Imaging in Chronic Glomerulonephrites: from Diagnostics to Precision Medicine") is very perspective.

In presented scientific data, the immunohistochemical method was combined with Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) and mass spectrometry imaging (MSI). With the help of these methods, the proteome profiles have been created for the characteristic of IgA nephropathy, diabetic nephropathy, hypertensive nephrosclerosis and membranous nephropathy. Those profiles may be used for developing biochemical and morphological criteria for differential diagnosing the primary and secondary glomerulopathies, defining the degree of kidney damage, predicting prognosis and possible response to pathogenetic and immunobiological therapy.

Finally a few days ago Mariia Ivanova has received a Certificate  confirming the award of the title of “Dottore di Ricerca” (PhD). It is mentioned in the Certificate that the research was conducted in cooperation with Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (the name of the institution at the moment of defense).

We are proud of the successful project finalization and sure of continuous productive cooperation!
