Viktor M. Pashchenko, MD, PhD, Associate Professor

Graduated from O.O. Bogomolets National Medical University. After graduation he devoted himself to science, worked in the Research Institute for Tuberculosis and Thoracic Surgery named after F. G. Yanovsky, where under the leadership of Academician Amosov he was engaged in research related to the use of computer technology for the diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases. In 1974 he defended PhD thesis in Biological and Medical Cybernetics.

Since 1977 he has been working in the Central Research Laboratory of Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education and since 1981 he has been Associate Professor of the Department of Public Health Management.

Area of expertize:health care issues, implementing up-to-date management methods into healthcare practice, financing problems.

Author of 3 monographs on healthcare management training technology and about 110 scientific works. He is a participant of international programs for health care reform in Ukraine, which were supported by the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the European Union.

He has a second higher degree in Economics. Teaches economic aspects of management; scientific basis of public management.
