The staff members of the department conduct the clinical process at the base of Dental Practical and Educational Centre of NMAPE, which includes 2 units: 

• Prophylaxis and treatment of the diseases of periodontium tissue and tunica mucosa of mouth
• Prophylaxis and treatment of the diseases of hard tooth tissues

Rooms:               

• prosthetic dentistry
• surgery
• physiotherapy
• radiology. 

During the last ten years the staff members of the department under the leadership of Full Professor G. F. Biloklytska have developed the following methods:

• prophylaxis and treatment of the diseases of periodontium tissue and tunica mucosa of mouth with differential use of means of personal hygiene of oral cavity;
• diagnostics of the diseases of periodontium tissue by means of electron probe i.e. diagnostic computer programme (Florida-probe); 
• complex treatment of the diseases of periodontium tissue by means of new methods of hardware and manual scaling;
• use of laser methods of treatment in periodontics; 
• complex treatment of hyperesthesia of hard tooth tissues accompanied by generalized periodontitis;
• complex treatment of generalized periodontitis associated with atrophic arthritis;
• complex treatment of non-carious hard tooth tissues lesions in patients with gastroesophageal reflux.
