The first day began in the format of "live surgery," specifically with laparoscopic Roux-en-Y gastric bypass with cruroplasty in a patient diagnosed with Obesity Grade II (BMI - 39 kg/m2), Metabolic Syndrome, and Hiatal Hernia. Physicians had the opportunity to participate in the discussion of the choice of surgical treatment tactics, preoperative examination and preparation, postoperative and intraoperative patient management, based on Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols. They also visited the operating room, interacted with the head of the department, Professor Savoliuk S.I., and the assistant professor, PhD, Zavertylenko D.S.

Practically oriented education, participation in surgical procedures, and clinical analyses at all stages of patient care always generate lively interest and engagement among participants from specialized surgical departments of both public and private healthcare institutions.
