An individual research plan is mandatory for the applicant and is used to assess the success of the planned scientific work.
The individual research plan is agreed by the applicant and his scientific supervisor (consultant) and approved by the Scientific Council of NMAPE within two months after the enrollment.
The applicant together with his scientific supervisor/consultant proposes the subject of dissertation, determines the content and timing of the individual research plan, and chooses the clinical site for carrying out the research. The next step is the submission of general characteristics of the dissertation to the Department. It should involve the rationale for the subject selected, purpose, tasks, object, subject, research methods, expected theoretical and practical results, scientific novelty, as well as the structure of the dissertation.
The academic staff of the Department discuss the materials presented by the applicant and the individual research plan at the meeting of the Department. The decision on providing the recommendations for the individual research plan review on the Scientific Council of the Faculty/Institute is made by the Department. The protocol of the Department meeting is submitted to the Head of the Scientific Council of the Faculty/Institute together with the individual research plan.
The applicant also submits the following documents:
- general characteristics of the research;
- peer review on the research planning materials;
- extract from the protocol of the Department meeting;
- patent research report;
- opinion of the expert problem commission of NMAPE;
- registration card of the research project (made by the Scientific Unit);
- opinion of the Ethics Committee of NMAPE (made by the Ethics Committee);
- metrologist’s opinion on the list of measuring equipment which will be used in the research.
After the approval of the individual research plan on the Scientific Council of the Faculty/Institute, it is submitted to the Scientific Council of the Academy. The applicant has to make an application to the Rector of NMAPE for the individual research plan approval. The academic secretary of the Scientific Council of the Faculty/ Institute submits all the documents to the academic secretary of the Scientific Council of the Academy not later than five days before the Scientific Council meeting.
The decision on the individual research plan approval is made by the Scientific Council of the Academy by an open vote.
Internship doctors (pharmacists) who have fully completed the curriculum and internship programs can take part in a competition for postgraduate training program at departments of higher educational institutions.
Postgraduate training and doctoral program are forms of study of highly qualified academic and teaching staff and provides obtaining theoretical knowledge, skills, and other competencies sufficient for producing new ideas, solving complex problems in professional and research and innovation activities and conducting scientific research.
The Academy has received a license to conduct educational activities at the third (scientific and educational) level of higher education in eight specialties: 091 Biology, 221 Dentistry, 222 Medicine, 224 Technologies of Medical Diagnosis and Treatment, 225 Medical and Psychological Rehabilitation, 226 Pharmacy, 228 Pediatrics, 229 Public Health.
