On May 24-27, the 8th VIII scientific-practical conference of the International Society for Placenta Accreta Spectrum (IS-PAS) was held in Athens, Greece. Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 is a member of this well-respected international organization, which deals with issues of childbirth and prevention of complications of women with abnormally invasive placenta, according to modern terminology - Placenta Accreta Spectrum.

Head of the department, Professor О. Golyanovsky and graduate students D.Fedorenko  and S. Frolov. prepared a presentation on the effectiveness of modern methods of delivery of pregnant women with abnormally invasive placenta stages 3b and 3c.

Foreign colleagues highly appreciated the experience of our department in the prevention of massive obstetric bleeding in the most difficult cases of germination of all layers of the uterus and growth to the bladder wall.

Our experience of establishing such a method of prevention of hemorrhagic complications in case of complicated obstetric cases with the involvement of a multidisciplinary team of specialists (obstetricians-gynecologists, vascular surgeons, urologists, anesthesiologists, transfusion specialists) makes it possible to significantly reduce the volume of blood loss, prevent cases of severe hemorrhagic shock and damage to adjacent organs (urinary bladder, intestines). Foreign colleagues highly appreciated the innovative developments of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology No. 1 of NHUU in the difficult conditions of wartime and plan further cooperation in conducting multicenter randomized studies involving the clinical bases of our department.
