On November 13, a meeting of the Ukrainian Federation of Professional Medical Organizations took place at the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, chaired by Rector Vyacheslav Kaminsky.
Representatives from various professional medical associations gathered to discuss important issues such as the introduction of medical self-government, the expansion of the federation's territorial units, and preparations for the upcoming UFPMO congress, which is scheduled for winter.
Additionally, the Ukrainian medical associations that are members of the UFPMO, decided to reach out to their foreign colleagues to support Ukraine and its Victory Plan.
"The war initiated by the russian federation is taking the lives and threatening the health of Ukrainian citizens, while also destroying our country. Our doctors are dying, and hospitals are being devastated. No medical system can withstand the challenges posed by a full-scale war and the aggressor's brutality on its own. This can only be achieved with reliable support. Ukrainian medicine cannot develop and progress when the enemy is daily destroying our hospitals and killing our doctors. We ask for your support of the President of Ukraine's Victory Plan and us, your Ukrainian colleagues."
During the discussion, most members of the Federation expressed their support for the idea that an appeal to their foreign colleagues would once again draw global attention to the war in Ukraine and the perilous conditions under which Ukrainian doctors are forced to work.
