It was confirmed once again by organizers and participants of the International Forum Healthcare Management that was held on October 18-20, 2016 in the Exhibition Center KyivExpoPlaza. The event was attended by representatives of government, heads of public and private medical institutions, chief physicians and their assistants, owners and representatives of business, and also the international experts.
The Forum was opened by scientific-practical conference with international participation Organization and Management of Healthcare. The first welcomed the delegates and read greetings from President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Head of Department of Health and Social Policy of the Administration of the President of Ukraine Igor Lurin. According to the words of the President, during reformation process “it is important to use international experience and to save the best domestic achievements, to combine purposeful work on fundamental scientific problems with applied aspects of researches, practical needs of the present.”
In his turn, the President of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine Vitalii Tsymbalyuk urged the medical community to consensus on how to implement healthcare reform and “to prescribea real recipe” by choosing one effective healthcare system following the example of European countries.
Rector of the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education Yurii Voronenko in his speech drew attention to the fact that in many developed countries changes in the healthcare system depend on the medical community. In his opinion, the Forum of outstanding practitioners, economists, lawyers, specialists in consulting and insurance companies, with IT experts will help take a step forward in this direction. Summing up his speech, the famous scientist aptly remarked: “When a politician, doctor and patient have a common understanding of where to go further - then we will have results!”.
Head of Department of Public Health of the National Academy of Public Administration under the President of Ukraine Vasyl Knyazevych emphasized: “It is important today to lay the foundations of a new healthcare system of the future.”
According to the Chairman of the Public Council at the Ministry of Health of Ukraine Maksim Ionov, the reform process is possible only if it will involve all parties: the state, the medical community and patients.
Conference delegates also discussed such important issues: improving the practice of providing medical care, hospitalsautonomization, introduction of new economic mechanisms of management, financing, future transition to insurance medicine, quality management in health care, personnel etc.
During the international section of the conference “Medicine And State Regulation - International Experience” experts familiarized with examples of foreign healthcare systems, training programs and further education abroad.
In the framework of the Forum also was held an open meeting of the Public Council under the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. On the second day of the discussion panel worked: III seminar “State Medicine: Realities Of Practice In 2016”, round tables “Leadership Training In The Healthcare System At The Stage Of Reform” and “Medical Cooperation Platform (Medical Cross-Enterprise Collaborative Platform) As A Part Of Healthcare Reform”.
Private medicinesection was dedicated to development and protection of medical business and united business owners and top management of private medical institutions.
With great success took a place the VII Conference “Private Medicine: Realities Of Practice”, participants of which had the opportunity to share experience, discuss the latest legislative initiatives to adopt productive ideas to promote medical services. Within the section “Effective Cooperation Of Private Medical Institutions And Insurance Companies” leading insurance companies, experts told how to establish partnership between them and medical institutions, acquainted with trends and prospects of development of health insurance. On seminar “Requirements And Compliance With License Conditions Of Medical Practice” experts discussed the relevant regulations, got leading lawyers’ advice.
One of the highlights of the Forum was scientific conference “IT MED: IT-solutions for Healthcare, Existing Products And Needs Of Medical Business”. The event was dedicated to innovations and modern technologies in the IT field that are designed to optimize the performance of medical institutions and create a major competitive advantage in strive for patients.
The intensive program of the Forum also included section “Organization Of Laboratory Service. The Key Event Was Scientific Conference State Standard EN ISO 15189: 2015” - a road map of quality laboratory research organized by Association of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine. In addition, for the first time National Accreditation Agency of Ukraine held seminar “Accreditation Of Medical Laboratories In Accordance With Requirements Of ISO EN ISO 15189: 2015”.
There were held such important events as General Meeting of the Association of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine, Congress of Ukrainian Society of Clinical Laboratory Medicine, a joint meeting of experts of NAMS of Ukraine on laboratory diagnostics of scientific secretaries and heads of research and diagnostic laboratories of NAMS of Ukraine. The program is also included 16 master classes of Ukrainian laboratory school, scientific-practical events organized by companies-participants–Hema, Vector-Best – Ukraine, Ukrbio, BCM Ukraine and others.
Within the Organization of radiology service section was held a meeting of regional non-staff specialists of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine on specialties Roentgenology and Ultrasound Diagnostics. Professionals who plan to start a private practice, proved useful seminar “Legal Aspects Of Opening And Activity Of Medical Rooms With Ultrasound And Functional Diagnostic Equipment”. In addition, there were held master classes of Ukrainian school of ultrasound and functional diagnostics.
For owners and managers of pharmacies and pharmacy chains was held seminar “Organization And Management In Pharmacy”, dedicated to trends and prospects of pharmaceutical market, management and personnel policy.
Full Hall of specialists brought together “Chief Nurse School”. More than 300 chief nurses listened to reports of experts on current topics regarding disinfection, sterilization, infusion, medical waste disposal, safe working conditions etc.
