On the 28th of October, 2016 there was held annual teleconference bridge “Day Care for the Elderly People: an Interdisciplinary Approach” (Ukraine – USA) in NMAPE as part of international scientific and practical conference “Present and Future Development of Family Medicine”. The moderators were Full Professor O. Shekera, Full Professor I. Pinchuk, Full Professor L. Stadniuk, Full Professor O. Mintser (Ukraine), Full Professor F. Bogl (USA).
There were presented interesting reports: “Rehabilitation of Patients with Parkinson's Disease” by Full Professor I. Karaban (Ukraine); L.Gdaniec (Michigan, USA); “Health Care for Patients with Dementing Disease in Ukraine” by Full Professor I. Pinchuk (Ukraine); “Creativity in Day Programs for Elderly Patients and their Family Members” by D.Golt (Michigan, USA); “Home Care for Elderly People with Cognitive Deterioration” by D. Chaikivskyi (Ukraine); “The Essence of a Comprehensive Model of Day Care for Elderly People” by G.Sanewsky (Michigan, USA); “How to Organize Outpatient Care Service for Patients with Dementing Disease” by O. Mishakivska. Both parties plan to continue the annual teleconference bridges.
