Representative of the Department of Anesthesiology and IC of NMAPO named after PL Shupik, associate professor Kuchinsk I.A. took part in one of the largest international forums on anesthesiology and intensive care - the European Congress on Intensive Care (ESICM LIVES 2018), which took place in October 20-24, 2018 in Paris (France).

The European Society of Intensive Care Medicine (ESICM) is a leading global organization that combines anesthesiologists and intensive care physicians to exchange clinical knowledge, research findings, discussing current recommendations and new devices.

This year's Congress hosted 6,000 delegates from 97 countries, including almost 300 international speakers. The scientific program covered 10 parallel sections, 20 interactive sections, 10 master classes, etc. The Department of Anesthesiology and IС took part in dedicated sessions on various topics of intensive care (primary care during trauma, hemorrhagic shock, neurotrauma, respiratory support and new approaches to the diagnosis of ARDS, control of hemodynamics in the perioperative period, etc.), as well as in the master class "Bronchoscopy in the intensive care unit" with the aim of obtaining practical and theoretical experience and improving the educational process for residents, doctors on CME at the Department of Anesthesiology and IC, as well as the organization of the Master classes during their own conferences in Ukraine.

The acquired experience will be realized in the educational process and practical activity at the department and in the Academy.
