For the first time in Ukraine during the surgical treatment of the aortic valve pathology ("Ozaki surgery"), the technique of reconstruction on the 3D printer of the root of the aorta and valve shutter was performed using computer tomography.

This allowed the person to determine the size of all structures, flaps, free edges, depths and other parameters with absolute precision, resulting in all the flaps closing at an angle of 120 degrees, and there were no overlaps and tensions, thus ensuring the maximum quality of the operative intervention. The operation was performed under the direction of Head of the Department of Cardiac Surgery, X-ray, Endovascular and Extracorporeal Technologies of NMAPE named after P. L. Shupik, and Director General of the Heart Institute of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine", MD, professor Todurov B. M.
