On January 31st, 2019 at the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Medical Psychology Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education took place an examination and certification of residents for determination the level of theoretical knowledge and practical skills by the State Appraisal Commission under the chairmanship of the Head of the Department, Professor Pilyagina G.Ya, M.D., Ph.D. The title of doctor of a psychiatrist was given to 28 interns, who fully completed the curriculum and internship program in the field of Psychiatry in 2016-2018.
The final exam to determine the level of theoretical knowledge and practical skills of residents at the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Medical Psychology was conducted. The Certification Committee consisted of: the Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate professor Uralova L.T., curator of the internship cycle - M.D., Assoc. Bondarchuk A.G, M.D., Assoc. Gonchar T.O., Assistants of the Chair: Chelyadin Yu.Ya., Zubatyuk O.V.
During the certification, residents showed a sufficient level of theoretical knowledge and level of mastery of practical skills, which fully meets the requirements of qualification characteristics and is necessary for practical work as a doctor psychiatrist. Young doctors have fully mastered modern methods of prevention, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and prophylactic examination of patients with a psychiatric profile, and the skills of providing urgent medical care.
By the members of the Attestation Commission, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department - training level of residents was evaluated positively and was decided to award the title of specialist doctor on the field of «Psychiatry» for all applicants.
After the certification, all doctors answered the questions of anonymous questionnaires. The analysis of the results of the survey showed overall satisfaction with the content and organization of training at the Department of Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Medical Psychology of Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education. The staff of the department reviewed the questionnaire and made conclusions regarding the improvement of the educational process in the cycle of internship in the specialty «Psychiatry".
