The International Workshop "Meeting with Experts: Practical Obstetrics" was held in Kyiv on January 25, 2019. The key points of the event were the actual issues of modern obstetrics: induction and labor, features of induction and stimulation of labor activity on the basis of evidence-based approaches of the French College of Obstetrics and Gynecology; the role of the midwife in the maternity ward in Europe; features of a cesarean section; prevention and treatment of postpartum uterine haemorrhage.

The reports were delivered by senior obstetricians and gynecologists from France and Ukraine, in particular the President of the European Council and the College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Professor Jacky Nizard; Vice President of the European Association of Midwives Ms. Agnès Simon; Chairman of the Executive Committee of the PO " The Ukrainian Association of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists ", Professor Kaminsky V.V.; professors and associate professors of the departments of the Ukrainian State Institute of Reproduction.

The seminar was organized with the participation of PO " The Ukrainian Association of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists ", Ukrainian State Institute of Reproduction of Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (NMAPE), Center for Simulation Methods of Education NMAPE, with the assistance Ukrainian Network of Interns and Young Doctors in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

More than 200 listeners participated in the workshop and discussions. It is necessary to emphasize the relevance of the announced topics, the high level of interest of the listeners, the productive and friendly atmosphere of the event.
