On September, 2019 the Annual Meeting of European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) will take place in Barcelona, Spain. This meeting is the most important annual scientific and clinical event in the filed of diabetology and usually it is attended by 18000-20000 participants not just from European countries but from all over the world.
The scientific program of the Congress is usually very precisely selected by the leading international scientists in the field which work together in the Program Committee. The main task of the Program Committee is to review the submitted abstracts, to score all of them and to select the best ones for oral or poster presentations. Usually, 40-50% of submitted abstracts are rejected. The review process is strictly anonymous and very demanding.
This year the Head of Department of Diabetology of P.L.Shupyk National Medical Academy for Postgraduate Education Professor Boris Mankovsky was invited once again to serve as the member of this Program Committee. He will have to review around 300 submitted abstracts.
Professor Boris Mankovsky is the only expert ever invited to work in the Program Committee of these Annual Meetings not just from our countries but from all former Soviet Union countries and this invitation follows the invitations to serve in such Committee in previous EASD Meeting.
The final program of the Annual Meeting of European Association for the Study of Diabetes will have to be ready at the beginning of June.
