Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) physiotherapy training workshop took place on the 5 – 6 of April 2019 in Amsterdam (The Netherlands).

Viktoriia Svystilnyk – Associate professor of the Pediatric Neurology and Medical and Social Rehabilitation Department Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education attended the training workshop.

International standards of care for DMD, outcome measures and assessment in DMD, physiotherapy, the impact of steroids on DMD, respiratory management of DMD and rehabilitation methods have been discussed.

The prescription new methods of diagnostics and therapy for patients suffered progressive muscular dystrophy will give possibility to increase really life time and quality of life for such children.
