On June 20, 2019, a regular session of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education took place under the guidance of the head of the department Savoliuk S. (MD, Dr.Sc., Full Professor).

The agenda was concerned with monitoring all the activities of the department, taking into account the results of the examination of the department by the commission of the dean's office of the surgical faculty and the comments made by them.

The interim results of the department's work for the 2nd quarter were presented regarding the implementation of the training plan, taking into account the opportunities and risks of completing the programmatic cycles of the thematic improvement by the end of 2019, monitoring of the decisions of the department and the scientific council of the surgical faculty, hourly control of the pedagogical load and qualification improvement of the employees . Taking into account the changes that have taken place in the system of continuing vocational education of doctors in accordance with the current legislation, a new plan of the training plan for 2020 has been presented on the basis of short-term cycles of thematic improvement, which requires the preparation of 11 new programs and the necessary package of teaching and methodological support for their approval on Academic Council of the Surgical Faculty and NMAPE.

There were reports on the work of clinical residents, PhD students, attestation of interns and results of work of department employees.

Taking into account the need to fill the cycle of thematic improvement during 2019 and the next 2020 for the implementation of the plan, it was recognized the need to strengthen cooperation with the clinical bases of the department and the city and regional centers of the association of surgeons through the intensification of thematic master classes and clinical conferences, to increase the presence of presentation materials of the department in social media resources and video hosts for familiarization with innovative developments of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery and the general public of the surgical community, which will compete with private providers for the consumer of educational services.
