On February 25, 2019, at the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of the Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (the Chief of Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery - S. Savoliuk (MD, Dr.Sc., Full Professor)) was finished the programmatic cycle of thematic improvement "Modern Minimal Invasive Techniques in Phlebology"(2 weeks course), which is popular among listeners, as it allows to get acquainted with modern innovative non-invasive methods of surgical treatment of lower extremities varicose veins and its complications, namely: radiofrequency ablation, endovascular laser coagulation and endovenous electric biowelding, sclerotherapy.

At the end of the cycle, took a place master-class of live surgery in non-invasive phlebology with the participation of S. Savoliuk (MD, Dr.Sc., Full Professor) and curator of the cycle - V. Gorbovets (MD, PhD) for 14 listeners of the cycle, clinical ordinators, interns. 2 surgical interventions were performed - endovenous laser coagulation and endovenous biowelding, in which the most trained listeners participated.

At the end of thematic improvement cycle "Modern non-invasive techniques in phlebology", students received the corresponding certificates and wishes for success in further professional growth. Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery will continue to apply such practical-shaped forms in the educational process as master classes and days of live surgery, as these forms are the most promising and effective in acquiring the necessary level of practical skills and abilities.
