Collective of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education and its chief S. Savoliuk (MD, Dr.Sc., Full Professor) received a letter of thanks from the Department of Health of Vinnytsia Regional Administration.

During the last 4 years, Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery and educational, medical institutions of Vinnytsia Region are partners.

Thus, thanks to the cooperation, 54 students were trained at the department on pre-certification cycles and specialization and thematic improvement courses; 8 joint scientific and practical seminars on the scientific topics of the department were held - "Technologies of fast track surgery", "Biowelding technologies in surgery and urgent oncosurgery", "Innovations in surgical treatment of diabetic foot syndrome". S. Savoliuk (MD, Dr.Sc., Full Professor) has repeatedly been involved in the work of the expert commissions.

Thanks to cooperation between the departments of surgery Pirogov VNMU and Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery Shupyk NMAPO performed a lot scientific and practical forums with international participation. So, collaborating with the Department of Endoscopic and Cardiovascular Surgery (Head of the Department -Prof. V. Petrushenko) and the Podillya Association of Minimally Invasive Surgery, Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery Shupyk NMAPO participated in three scientific and practical conferences with international participation "Modern Endoscopic Surgery".

Cooperating with the Podilsky Regional Oncology Center conducted a series of scientific and practical events and master classes on the application of electrosurgical and biowelding technologies in laparoscopic oncosurgery.

Along with active scientific-practical and innovative activities, it is worth noting the considerable amount of medical and diagnostic work that the department staff carries out with complicated patients, which are sent to the clinic according to the agreement. Head of the department S. Savoliuk (MD, Dr.Sc., Full Professor) actively cooperates with the Vinnytsia City Clinical Hospital of Emergency Medical Care, consulting and operating super-heavy patients, in particular polytrauma and its consequences and complications.

Constructive dialogue allows conducting regular thematic master classes and scientific-practical conferences, educational and practical-oriented seminars, which helps to increase the professionalism and qualification of the employees of medical and preventive establishments of Vinnytsia region.
