On September 2, 2019 at the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of Shupyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education (Chief of Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery - S. Savoliuk (MD, Dr.Sc., Full Professor)) 1-year interns have began training in the specialty "Surgery".

20 young specialists from different cities of Ukraine have started their studies.

Chief of Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery - S. Savoliuk (MD, Dr.Sc., Full Professor) gave an introductory lecture on the plan of internship training and the tasks facing young professionals, the requirements for the level of theoretical and practical training with emphasis on modern, minimally invasive surgical methods and technologies of fast track recovery, the principles of evidence-based medicine in surgery.

The stuff of Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery presented schedules of lectures, seminars, practical classes, clinical and pathological-anatomical conferences, duties of the department's staff and doctors-interns in the clinic, lessons of practical skills in the training class (laparoscopic simulator, electrosurgical instruments, stitching devices) of the department.

At the end of the meeting, the staff of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery wished their young colleagues the opportunity to learn and master the intricacies of the surgeon's profession.
