The high requirements for the professional characteristics of the anesthesiologist require a wide implementation of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. However, the remoteness of leading scientific institutions significantly hampers the ability to upgrade the qualifications of practitioners in the regions. Particularly noted above is relevant for medical professionals, in particular anesthetists, those administrative areas located in the frontal area of Donbass.

In this regard, the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of the NMAPE decided to provide a course of lectures on current problems of anesthesiology and intensive care. Before the anesthesiologists of Donetsk region in Kramatorsk and Luhansk region in Severodonetsk at the end of August this year, the staff of the department Professor Oleg Loskutov and Associate Professor Yuri Markov gave lectures on current problems of modern anesthesiology and intensive care. At the end of the lectures, the students were asked questions and a lively discussion ensued. Anesthesiologists expressed gratitude for the information provided, which allows specialists to provide anesthesiologic support for surgical interventions at the level of international requirements.
