Modern changes in the legislation in the field of postgraduate education, competition with private medical and educational institutions are a challenge and an engine to constantly improve the work of clinical departments, to find new approaches and to develop complex strategies for the tasks of completing program cycles. Only by creating original, interesting and modern content and positioning to the surgical audience, being open to new implementations, monitoring trends and changing them, finding and working with strategic partners - allows us to reach high goals.

From these positions, Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of Shupyk NMAPE  (Chief of Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery - S. Savoliuk (MD, Dr.Sc., Full Professor)) is considering conducting a cycle of thematic improvement for the heads of the bases of correspondence internships in the specialty "Surgery", which has started at the department on September 23.

This time heads of different departments have arrived on the cycle: heads of the Surgery Departments (8) from 2 clinical bases of Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery - Kyiv City Clinical Hospital № 8 and Irpin Central City Hospital, plus heads of specialized departments of Kyiv Region Clinic.

The training program will include selected issues of urgent and planned abdominal surgery from the point of view of modern protocols and minimally invasive surgical techniques, which will be actively used in the preparation of internships during the correspondence period, familiarization with new regulations in the field of continuous professional development and the draft new regulations.

Such experience is a rather promising area that the department will continue to develop in order to fulfill the training and production plan, to maintain communication with the bases of correspondence internships for quality training.
