On October 31, 2019, a scientific symposium in memory of Professor Anatoly Trischinsky was held within the Scientific and Educational Forum "Stroke Academy-2019".
This year's symposium was dedicated to clinical nutrition and was moderated by Professor Marina Trischinskaya. Anatoly Ivanovich stood at the origins of anesthesiology, but in his clinical and scientific activities he gravitated towards his primary specialization - neurology and neurosurgery. The topic of strokes was closest to him. Therefore, the interdisciplinary sessions in which anesthesiologists take an active part are traditionally taking place at the stroke forum. And this year, reports were presented by Maxim Pylypenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care at the NMAPE named after P.L. Shupyk and Ph.D. Dmitry Gulyaev, who worked as an assistant at the Department of Anesthesiology in the early 2000s.
In his presentation, Maxim Pylypenko outlined contemporary ideas about gastrointestinal dysfunction in chronic carbohydrate intake in humans before stroke, as well as gastrointestinal dysfunction during critical conditions. Dmytro Gulyaev focused on standardized approaches to clinical nutrition, which are already in the practice of intensive care physicians, and may be useful to neurologists. The reports were of great interest, as evidenced by their lively discussion at the end of the symposium and the desire to continue the multidisciplinary format of communication.
