In order to streamline the teaching and learning strategies at NMAPE and in line with Article 7 of the Law of Ukraine "On Education" (adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on 5 September 2017), declaring that "Educational institutions, including vocational, professional pre-university and higher education, provide the compulsory learning of the national language to the extent that offers a means for conducting professional activities in the chosen field using the national language", the Department of Foreign Languages has rolled out the "Ukrainian For Business Communication" course for NMAPE's academic staff.
The course suggests that the Academy's employees and officials validate their Ukrainian language level, manage paperwork more efficiently and improve their communication skills. After passing the course, the learners receive training completion certificates, which is to acknowledge that the staff members have a good command of Ukrainian.
The main purpose of this course is to make the staff members acquire the Ukrainian literary language, based on studying its phonetic, lexical and grammatical structure, as well as to make them understand the role of the native language as both a means of communication and an important source for building the personality's intelligence and culture.
The classes are conducted by the Assistant Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages, longtime expert, Oliynyk Iryna Yuriyiyvna.
The course will last for 2 months and cover all of the modules. Monitoring the learners' practical knowledge is instrumental in updating the programme in order to increase the hours attempted, where applicable.
