On December, 12 in Kiev the last meeting of this year of the Club of Endocrine Innovations took place in Kyiv. Other prior meetings of the Club took place this autumn in Zaporozhye, Kharkiv, Lviv and Odessa and all of them were attended by more than 100 participants. The Club is organized by the Department of Diabetology of P.L.Shupyk National Medical Academy for Postgraduate Education and Ukranian Diabetology Association.

All meetings are chaired by the Head of the Department of Diabetology Professor Boris Mankovsky and the active role was played by other members of the department - Associate Professors I.M.Kondratska, N.M.Zherdova, O.S.Orlyk.

This time in Kyiv the Meeting was organized also as the teleconference and the colleagues from Uzbekistan, from Andigan State Medical Institute led by the Rector of the Institute Professor Madamin Madazimov were able to participate in the Meeting. It has to be noted that our Academy has the agreement with that Institute for the mutual cooperation and collaboration. Also, the endocrinologists and general practitioners from Cherkasy, Vinnitsa, Kropivnitsky and Mariupol attended the Meeting by the teleconference.

The important aspects of the prevention of hypoglycemic episodes in patients with diabetes mellitus, early diagnosis and treatment of prediabetes were actively discussed at the Meeting.

All participants agreed that Club of Endocrine Innovations is very important part of Postgraduate Education of doctors it is very important to continue its activity in the coming year.
