The conference included active participation of young scientists from all over Ukraine as speakers, presentation of scientific and practical achievements of graduate students, doctoral students, clinical residents, interns, various fields and specialties in medicine.

The scientific program of the section meetings was saturated and structured according to directions and specialties. The first section was devoted to the following areas: therapy, pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, laboratory and instrumental diagnostics, pharmacy and health care organization. The second section was focused on surgery, emergency care, anesthesiology and intensive care. The third section was devoted to psychiatry, neurology, narcology, forensic medicine, philosophy and dentistry.

On the surgical section,  D. Zavertylenko (graduate student of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of Shupyk NMAPE) presented departmental report: "Laparoscopic gastroplication with preventive NISSEN-fundoplication and implementation of enhanced recovery after surgery protocol in the treatment of patients with obesity and metabolic syndrome" (supervisor - Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor S. Savoliuk). In addition to the fact that the materials covered in the report are part of the PhD student's dissertation research, the work itself is the quintessence of the main directions of work of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of Shupyk NMAPE. The report caused high interest and discussion among the conference attendees and was marked with a Grade I diploma.

Conference of young scientists at the Shypyk National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education, as every year, impresses with the large number and high quality of scientific and practical achievements of participants.
