Among the scientific priorities of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of Shupyk NMAPE (Head of the Department - Doctor of Medical Sciences, Full Professor Savoliuk S.) belongs the introduction of existing and development of new surgical technologies in the minimally invasive surgery of varicose veins and varicose veins complications (venous trophic ulcers), which allows fast postoperative rehabilitation, recovery and return to the usual lifestyle.
On March 10, 2020 at Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of Shupyk NMAPE started new, practically oriented cycle of thematic improvement "Modern minimally invasive methods in phlebology".
The program of the cycle is full of modern lectures and video materials based on the results of the latest international protocols and standards, practical training in operating room, live surgery master classes with the participation of the staff of the department (Prof. Savoliuk S., Associate Prof. Hodos V., Gorbovets V.), as well as participation of students of the cycle of thematic improvement for maximum efficiency in acquiring skills to work with the technology of endovenous biowelding in the surgical treatment of varicose veins, including urgent (acute ascending thrombophlebitis).
The program teaching material is innovative and therefore interesting and relevant as it summarizes the acquired departmental experience in the methodology of routine use of endovenous biowelding in varicose veins surgery and is the scientific basis for writing dissertations already protected (Gorbovets V., Scientific supervisor: Professor Savoliuk S.) and those which are performing by the postgraduate students of the department - Gerashchenko R. (Scientific supervisor: Associate Prof. Hodos V.), Glagolieva A. and Dembbitsky A. (Scientific supervisor: Professor Savoliuk S.).
