At an extended meeting of the Department of Oncology, in compliance with the quarantine requirements, on January 29, 2021 the analysis of the training of interns in the "Clinical Oncology" specialty was summed. The interns were awarded by certificates of primary specialization.

The Head of the Department, Professor Prokip Hordiychuk, the curators of the groups - Professor Stanislav Myasoyedov, Associate Professor Olga Ponomareva - made wishes and congratulations to the young specialists. Teachers-curators conducted and presented the analysis of the training succeeded. Thus, the speeches have had noted, that the training of interns took place in difficult, but adjustable, conditions of quarantine of various levels, from adaptive to more severe, introduced in the country for almost a year.

The measures introduced by the Academy management, the Faculty of Surgery and the Head of the Department of Oncology have allowed to maintain the appropriate level of training for primary specialization on the basis of the full-time and part-time internships. All interns have passed the KROK-3 exam in time successfully, and they passed the final computer exam in "Clinical Oncology" with excellent results.

Clause 2 of the current Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine for № 698 of 23.03.2020, which states that the provision of medical and palliative care in specialized departments of health care facilities for cancer patients is not subject to termination, have had created conditions for continuous practical training of doctors-interns while the pandemia course in departments, laboratories and operating rooms under the guidance of their curators - teachers-doctors-oncologists. In the mixed form of training, introduced at the Department, with active use of mobile messenger Viber and the "ZOOM" program, it became possible to manage, control and realize a comprehensive approach to gaining of appropriate professional knowledge and skills, as well as full implementation of plan and program of the internship cycle.

Seminars on the main topics of the series with speeches of interns and their opponents, a broad discussion of current issues with the participation of the Head of the Department, Professors and Associate Professor were highly appreciated by students. During the training period, the interns have participated in clinical trials under international multicenter randomized research programs, spoke at the All-Ukrainian scientific-practical conference for young scientists YOUNG SCIENCE, organized by Shupyk NMAPE.

Young specialists, graduated for "Clinical Oncology" in 2021, are optimistic about the prospects of their further professional development, continuing postgraduate studies on cycles of thematic improvement and master classes at the Shupyk NMAPE.
