Laparoscopic surgery at the present stage of development of clinical surgery is crucial as the gold standard of surgery in urgent abdominal surgery.

"Laparoscopic Technologies in Urgent Surgery" is the cycle of thematic improvement of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery (head of the department — prof. S. Savoliuk) of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, which built on these principles, began on March 1, 2021. It is taking into account modern requirements and standards of modern minimally invasive surgery.

The staff of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery (S. Savoliuk and V. Lysenko) highlighted at lecture in an online format the training strategy of the cycle, linking its content with the ERAS protocols and the peculiarities of the surgical team in COVID-19 pandemic. 

During the training, students had the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of laparoscopy and practical skills on laparoscopic simulators in accordance with the schedule and compliance with quarantine requirements, get acquainted with the latest innovations in equipment and electrosurgical instruments, features of choosing surgical energy generators in planning of different operations. 

The most popular among students by questionnaire analysis were broadcasts from the operating room, interactive mode of analysis of surgical video-archives, laparoscopic simulators. These types of studying allow us to achieve maximum efficiency and results in methods of practice-oriented learning.
