Scientific-practical conference with international participation "YOUNG SCIENCE 3.0" (for young scientists) took place at Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine on March 26, 2021.
Given the quarantine restrictions caused by the global COVID-19 pandemic, the conference provided remote participation of young scientists (PhD students, doctoral students, clinical residents, interns, students) to highlight their scientific achievements and practical achievements in various fields of medicine.
The scientific program of section meetings was rich and structured by specialties.
In the section - Surgery, emergency care, anesthesiology and intensive care - the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery presented 2 reports of their PhD students - Zavertylenko D. and Dembitsky A., which highlighted the results of their dissertation researches.
Dmytro Zavertylenko, PhD student of the 3rd year of studying made a report: "Simultaneous correction of the predicted gastroesophageal reflux after restrictive bariatric surgery in obese patients" (supervisor - Head of the Department, Professor Savoliuk S.). In addition to the fact that materials covered in the report are part of the dissertation research of a graduate student who is in the final stages of his work, the work itself is one of the main areas of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery - laparoscopic surgery of obesity and metabolic syndrome.
PhD student of the 2nd year Dembitsky Andrii presented the results of his dissertation in the report - The use of plasma enriched with platelets in the treatment of trophic ulcers of venous etiology (supervisor - Head of the Department, Professor Savoliuk S.), which also reflects one of the main directions of the department's work - minimally invasive surgery of varicose veins of the lower extremities and its complicated forms.
The reports aroused great interest and discussion among the participants of the conference, and according to the results of the discussion they were awarded first degree diplomas.
The Conference of young scientists of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, which is already traditional, despite the difficult quarantine conditions and restrictions, continues to impress with its large number, high quality and range of scientific and practical achievements of its participants.
