On 25th – 27th of May 2021 the conference “Modern approaches to diagnosis and treatment neurological disorders” took place as a part of annually holding IMF, International Medical Forum. The conference was organized by the Department of Neurology No.2 of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine.

During this conference, the Department of Neurology No.2 has conducted a master class, during which the head of the Department of Neurology No.2, Full Professor, Olena Tkachenko together with Oksana Kononets, Associate Professor of the Department of Neurology No.2  shared a modern view on the muscle ultrasound examination in neurologist practice. The use of musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound imaging as a first-line soft tissue screening test is rapidly gaining in popularity due to its availability, portability, and relatively low cost. Using this tool makes a diagnostic process more accurate and faster and it should be implemented in everyday neurologist practice. This topic is pretty complicated and not well known for many neurologists, so it aroused special interest among participants.
