On November 26-27, 2021, the 7th annual meeting of experts of the European Scientific Club of Ocular Surface & Glaucoma (ECOS-G) took place in Amsterdam (Netherlands). 34 expert delegates from 18 countries attended ECOS-G.
The Ukrainian delegation was represented by Professor Iryna Shargorodska, Professor of Ophthalmology, Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, Member of the Presidium of the Ukrainian Glaucoma Society, Member of the European Glaucoma Society, Member of the ECOS-G Scientific Committee, who presented the research project the latest technology in the treatment of complicated forms of glaucoma, which was included for consideration at the ECOS-G Assembly.
Participation in the round table of world experts during "ECOS-G" allowed presenting the technologies developed by the Department of Ophthalmology of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine to the world ophthalmological community, share experiences with ophthalmologists from around the world and identify priority areas for further cooperation with medical work and in the field of postgraduate education.
Participation in the work of experts of the European Educational Club of ocular surface & glaucoma (ECOS-G) allowed to master the latest technologies in surgical and laser treatment of glaucoma, which will contribute to the practical experience of leading experts in glaucoma and anterior surface diseases in the treatment and the educational process of cycles of thematic improvement "Eye Microsurgery with artificial lens implantation and phacoemulsification", "Glaucoma", "Vitreo-retinal surgery" and "Visual injuries", which are held at the Department of Ophthalmology of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine.
