This year, one of the main clinical bases of the Department of Ophthalmology of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine Ophthalmological Medical Center OCHI CLINIC celebrates its anniversary.

The clinic combines innovative diagnostic equipment and the latest methods of treatment of eye diseases, the experience of qualified specialists, which allows students of the Department of Ophthalmology to improve their skills and gain new knowledge in the field of ophthalmology.

Ochi Clinic is a modern ophthalmological center with well-known specialists in vitreoretinal surgery, cataract and glaucoma surgery, minimally invasive ophthalmic surgery, diagnosis and treatment of refractive errors, inflammatory diseases of the eye, retinal pathology, traumatic eye injuries. Dmytro Vasyliovych Zhmuryk – Chief Physician of the Ochi Clinic Medical Center, is a Doctor of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Ophthalmology of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine. Dmytro Zhmuryk is a well-known ophthalmic surgeon in Ukraine, a specialist in the field of minimally invasive cataract and glaucoma surgery, minimally invasive vitreoretinal surgery, reconstructive surgery of the anterior and posterior segment of the eye, keratoplasty.

The ophthalmological center OCHI CLINIC employs 5 employees of the Department of Ophthalmology of the Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, namely the head of the department, corresponding member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine Professor Sergiy Rykov, Professor Iryna Shargorodska, Associate Professor Lyudmyla Novak, Associate Professor Oksana Tumanova, Associate Professor Iuliia Panchenko and 8 interns.

We need to remember that each of us must be examined annually by an ophthalmologist to detect and prevent the development of ophthalmic diseases in a timely manner.
