The Department of Therapy and Geriatrics is pleased to announce that in December 2021 the monograph "TRIPs Across Epithelial and Endothelial Barriers in Health and Disease", developed by the department in collaboration with Biology and Medicine Institute Science Educational Center of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, was published in USA.

The monograph is devoted to the role of endothelial barriers and TRP channels (receptor-controlled cation channels) in the development of various human diseases. It consists of 10 chapters.

One chapter on the role of the intestinal microbiota was written by the head of the department, Professor AE Dorofeev. He is also a co-author of another chapter on universal intestinal barriers.
