Professor Ozar Mintser, head of the Department of Informatics, Information Technology and Transdisciplinary Learning, and of the Department employees took part in a high-level video conference held on January 27, 2022 in Paris, marking the beginning of France's presidency in the Council of the European Union (PFUE).

France has chosen "Recovery, Strength and Sense of Belonging" as key priorities – economic recovery and support for environmental and digital transformation, "strength" to protect and promote its values and interests, and "sense of belonging" in the sense of developing a common European vision.

Due to the aging population on the European continent, more and more elderly people are becoming addicted and need longer care. This demographic phenomenon is putting increasing pressure on European healthcare. The situation requires all Member States of the European Union to develop innovative solutions to more effectively prevent the loss of autonomy of older people. The Ministerial Conference "Prévenir la perte d’autonomie: pour une meilleure coopération sur le thème des chutes de personnes âgées" was dedicated to this issue.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Solidarity and Health of the French Republic at the invitation of Ms. Brigitte Bourguignon, Minister-Delegate for Autonomy. At the video conference, all relevant EU ministers, heads of major scientific and healthcare institutions in Europe discussed the means and levers that need to be mobilized to prevent the loss of autonomy of the elderly. Ministers also agreed on the need to continue to mobilize European actors for accountability for EU programs provided to Member States, including the EU4Health program.

An important event was that the research materials of the Department of Informatics, Information Technology and Transdisciplinary Learning on the prediction of emergencies in the elderly were used in reports on this issue.

We emphasize the high technical and technological level of video conferencing. Its features and new organizational elements include simultaneous translation into the most popular languages of Europe, as well as the possibility of situational integration on the screen of the faces of people participating through the use of software products using artificial intelligence.
