The scientific effort focuses on:
•  female reproductive pathology;
• pregnancy pathology;
• perimenopausal pathology;
• cervical pathology, tumours;
• infectious obstetrics. 

In 2007 - 2013 there were defended  12 doctoral and 6 PhD theses, published 21 monographs, text-books, collected works, manuals, charts, 11methodical recommendations and clinical instructions, 17 bulletins, 16 patents and inventions.
The postgraduate obstetricians and gynaecologists, anaesthesiologists, family doctors improve their professional skills at the department.
