The staff members are engaged in the scientific research, in particular, geriatric cardiology.

In 2009-2013 the research work “Features of Intracardiac and Peripheral Haemodynamics and Approaches to Treating Patients with Coronary Heart Disease and Arterial Hypertension in Diffuse Liver Lesions” (headed by Dr. Sc., Full Professor Prykhod’ko V. Yu.)  has been under realization.

In 2008-2013 there have been defended 3 PhD theses.

Being the clinical base of the Pharmaceutical Committee of Ukraine the department approbates the national and foreign medicines; the staff members participate in a number of international multicentre clinical trials.
