On September 12, 2023, a regular session of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine took place under the guidance of the head of the department Savoliuk S. (MD, Dr.Sc., Full Professor).
The agenda was concerned with monitoring all the activities of the department.
The interim results of the department's work were presented regarding the implementation of the training plan, taking into account the opportunities and risks of completing the programmatic cycles of the thematic improvement by the end of 2023, monitoring of the decisions of the department and the scientific council of the surgical faculty, hourly control of the pedagogical load and qualification improvement of the employees.
There were reports on the work of PhD students, attestation of interns and results of work of department employees.
Currently, the department conducts 8 dissertation researches under the scientific guidance of the head of the department, prof. Savoliuk S. and prof. Khodos V., whose topics reflect modern aspects and trends in minimally invasive surgery: minimally invasive endovenous phlebology (Dembitsky A., Melnichuk G., Zabirchenko K.), endovascular surgery of obliterating pathology of the main arteries (Khatsko K.), minimally invasive proctology (Pochechuev D., Veselovsky Y.) and laparoscopic general abdominal surgery (Kruglyak E.), with priority integration of fast recovery after surgery protocols and treatment purulent complication of combat trauma (Lipnitsky V.).
Full-time postgraduate student of the 4nd year of studying Dembitsky A. under the guidance of the head of the department Professor Savoliuk S. is finished on the dissertation with the topic - "Tactics of complex surgical treatment of chronic venous insufficiency C5 - C6 clinical classes", dedicated to the integration of innovative minimally invasive and minimally traumatic surgical approaches to the treatment of severe chronic venous insufficiency with complications in the form of trophic ulcers.
Activity and motivation of all postgraduate students of the department, who are working on dissertations within the planned research work of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery, which allows to implement ambitious and priority scientific and practical departmental developments, even in such difficult war times.
