On September 25-26, 2020, the Congress of Anesthesiologists of Ukraine was held online in Ukraine, in which the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of Shupyk NMAPE took an active part.
Historical background. The term "scientific conference" came into our lives on November 28, 1660, when Christopher Wren began lecturing at a university in London. He was later joined by scientists such as Robert Boyle, John Wilkins, and others, who later founded a group called The Royal Society of London for Improving Natural Knowledge in 1663. This event has become a prototype of scientific conferences that forms the worldview of scientists and researchers to this day.
The COVID-19 pandemic has made adjustments to the format of the congress - live broadcast. However, this did not reduce or even increase the number of participants, which this year reached 3,000 people.
The most relevant topics in anaesthesia and intensive care presented by both domestic and foreign speakers were discussed.
The scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of Shupyk NMAPE presented at the congress their work on many topics: Prof. O. Loskutov - "Actual aspects of invasive blood pressure monitoring", "Aspects of early rehabilitation after traumatic brain injury", Prof. O. Druzhyna, Prof. O. Halushko - "Diagnosis and correction of acute carbohydrate disorders in patients with COVID-19", Assoc. Prof. M. Pylypenko - "Pathophysiology of hypoxemia in severe pneumonia and pulmonary embolism", "Latest aspects of teaching respiratory support skills".
Having taken part in this congress, the department has gained experience in holding such forums, which will be used in further educational work.
