Active educational and editorial work continues at the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care under the leadership of professor Oleg Loskutov. Thus, the handbook "Infusion Therapy in Neurology and Neurosurgery" has just been published. The handbook was written by professor Oleksandr Halushko, professor Maryna Trishchynska, professor Mykola Polishchuk, Head of the Department of Neurosurgery, and Mykola Gumeniuk, Dr Sc., Leading researcher in the Department of Technologies of Nonspecific Lung Diseases Treatment (National Institute of Phthisiology and Pulmonology named after F. G. Yanovsky NAMS of Ukraine).

The pages of the handbook contain detailed information about the pathophysiological prerequisites and principles of infusion therapy in neurological practice, rules and technical support of this modern method of treatment, provides a general description of the main infusions in the arsenal of neurologists and neurosurgeons. The handbook describes in detail the pathogenesis, clinical picture and intensive care of acute and chronic conditions in neurology and neurosurgery, highlights the criteria for treatment effectiveness and typical errors observed in clinical practice when using various intensive care programs.
