Full-time postgraduate student of the 4th year of studying Gerashchenko R completes the dissertation on "Endovenous electric welding in the treatment of ascending thrombophlebitis of the great saphenous vein" under the guidance of Professor Khodos V., dedicated to the innovative section of urgent minimally invasive phlebology, namely the use of minimally invasive and minimally traumatic technology of endovenous electric welding of biological tissues in acute ascending thrombophlebitis.
Postgraduate student of of the 3rd year of studying Glagolieva A., under the guidance of the head of the department Professor Savoliuk S., performs the dissertation - "Application of automatic bioelectric welding in the treatment of varicose veins of the lower extremities'', which will standardize approaches to maximum safety of endovenous electric welding technology in routine phlebology by improving automatic welding for implementation of this low-trauma surgical procedure.
Full-time postgraduate student of the 3rd year of studying Zavertylenko D. performs the dissertation - "Laparoscopic gastroplication in the surgical treatment of metabolic syndrome" under the guidance of the head of the department Professor Savoliuk S. The work is innovative because it involves the development of approaches to optimal surgical treatment of patients with obesity and metabolic syndrome in the presence of gastroesophageal reflux disease by performing restrictive (plication of gastric greater curvature) and antireflux procedures, with integration of components of the program of Fast Track Surgery (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery).
Full-time postgraduate student of the 2nd year of studying Dembitsky A. under the guidance of the head of the department Professor Savoliuk S. is working on the dissertation with the topic - "Tactics of complex surgical treatment of chronic venous insufficiency C5 - C6 clinical classes", dedicated to the integration of innovative minimally invasive and minimally traumatic surgical approaches to the treatment of severe chronic venous insufficiency with complications in the form of trophic ulcers.
Full-time postgraduate student of the 1st year of studying Melnychuk G. began performing his dissertation under the guidance of Professor Khodos V. on the topic - "Comprehensive surgical treatment of chronic diseases of the veins of the lower extremities with the use of endovenous electric welding".
Creativity, persistence, activity and motivation of all 5 postgraduate students of the department, who are working on dissertations within the planned research work of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of Shupyk NMAPE "Innovative technologies in the surgical treatment of diseases of the abdominal cavity, abdominal wall and blood vessels", which allows to implement ambitious and priority scientific and practical departmental developments, even in such difficult quarantine times and limitations caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
