On June 2021, a cooperation agreement was signed between Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine and private multidisciplinary clinic R + Medical Network, which allowed to expand the list of clinical bases of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, in particular by locating the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery on the basis of the inpatient department of this medical institution (head of the Department — professor S. Savoliuk) in order to implement a comprehensive program of joint educational, scientific and medical activities.
The signing of this agreement was preceded by a series of consultations and operational meetings with the participation of the head of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine, S. Savoliuk and the administration of the private multidisciplinary clinic R + Medical Network, during which was determined the main vectors and areas of consultative, treatment, research and training work.
Prior to the signing of this agreement by the staff of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine with S. Savoliuk and D. Zavertylenko, A. Dembitsky, G. Melnychuk on the basis of the R + Medical Network clinic were performed series of minimally invasive operations — bariatric (laparoscopic sleeve-gastrectomies in metabolic syndrome and morbid obesity - 5), proctological (3), endovenous operations for varicose veins of the lower extremities, laparoscopic interventions for esophageal hernia (1) and chronic calculous cholecystitis (2), demonstrating the high professionalism of the surgical teams of the Department of Surgery and Vascular Surgery, possession of modern minimally invasive surgical technologies and integration of innovative standards of enhanced recovery after surgery.
Using of the capacity of the new modern clinical base will lower the possible risks of quarantine in public institutions, and eliminate possible negative consequences for the implementation of the training plan and the quality of practical training of interns and students.
