Today, the clinical manifestations of COVID-19 are described in sufficient detail. But with the accumulation of clinical experience, there are more and more works that open up new data on the symptoms of this viral disease and its consequences.

Changes in the clinical picture and the impact of the consequences of the disease on the quality of life of people who have had COVID-19 are largely related to the phenomenon of coronavirus divergence.

 

The Eurasian teleconference was devoted to these issues. The Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care of Shupyk National Healthcare University of Ukraine attended the conference on 16.09.2021. 

Doctors of various specialties from Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Georgia were registered in the online conference. The total number of participants was more than 10,000 people. 

Speakers from Ukraine and neighboring countries in their reports highlighted the principles of managing patients with severe COVID-19, shared their experience in therapy, and discussed problematic issues of treating clinical manifestations of new variants of SARS-CoV-2.

 

Head of the Department of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, Professor Oleg Loskutov, in his speech focused on the issues of neuroinvasion in coronavirus infection, introduced post-COVID complications, and shared his experience of using a free radical scavenger in intensive care of patients with a severe course of the disease. 

Associate professor of the Department Oleksiy Domoratsky in his report raised the issue of the pathogenesis of the cytokine storm in COVID-19 and the problematic links in the treatment of this terrible complication. 

According to the results of reviews written by the participants of the teleconference in the chat, the reports were highly appreciated and aroused the considerable interest of the audience. 

Participation in conferences of this format expands the opportunities for international cooperation, promotes the establishment of new connections and the exchange of experience, which will undoubtedly contribute to expanding opportunities in the treatment of COVID-19.
